Electromagnetic spectrum

The electromagnetic spectrum

Electromagnetic radiation is an electric field and magnetic field interacting with one another and has a characteristic speed of 300,000,000m/s (the speed of light), it behaves both like a wave and a particle and its particle is the photon. The electromagnetic spectrum consists of the following:Radio waves, Micro waves, Infra red radiation, Visible light, Ultra violet, X-rays and Gamma rays. As you go up the spectrum the frequency increases whilst the wavelength decreases.
